Sex Therapy for Individuals & Couples
Sexuality is deeply connected to how we experience ourselves, our bodies, and our relationships.
Sex therapy offers a space to explore desire, intimacy, sexual connection, identity, and the patterns that shape your sexual life—without judgment, assumptions, or a prescribed idea of what sex or relationships are supposed to look like.
I work with individuals and couples who want to better understand their sexuality, navigate changes or challenges, and build a sexual life that feels more authentic, connected, and intentional.
What Can Sex Therapy Help With?
People come to sex therapy for many reasons. Sometimes something feels difficult or disconnected; other times there is simply a desire to understand yourself, your sexuality, or your relationship more deeply.
I work with individuals and couples navigating:
Differences in sexual desire, frequency, or initiation
Changes in desire or sexual connection over time
Difficulty communicating about sex, wants, boundaries, or fantasies
Sexual shame, anxiety, avoidance, or feeling disconnected from your sexuality
Sexual identity, orientation, or evolving understandings of yourself
The impact of trauma, attachment experiences, religion, or culture on sexuality
Rebuilding sexual and emotional intimacy after betrayal or relationship rupture
Consensual non-monogamy, open relationships, and changing relationship agreements
Kink, sexual interests, and exploration
Life transitions that affect sexuality, intimacy, or desire
You do not need to have a “sexual problem” to come to sex therapy. This work can also be about curiosity, pleasure, exploration, and developing a more intentional relationship with your sexuality.
My Approach to Sex Therapy
Sexual concerns rarely exist in isolation. Desire, pleasure, intimacy, and sexual connection are shaped by our bodies, relationships, histories, identities, cultures, and the meanings we have learned to attach to sex.
My approach is integrative, relational, and sex-positive. I draw from attachment-based, somatic, trauma-informed, and couples therapy approaches to understand both what is happening in your sexual life and the deeper patterns that may be shaping it.
With couples, this may include exploring the relational dynamics around desire, initiation, rejection, pressure, avoidance, vulnerability, and differentiation—rather than treating one partner as the problem or assuming that matching levels of desire is the goal.
With individuals, the work may involve exploring your relationship with desire, pleasure, your body, sexual identity, shame, boundaries, fantasies, relational patterns, or the messages you have received about who you are allowed to be sexually.
The goal is not to prescribe what a healthy sexual life should look like. It is to help you develop greater understanding, choice, connection, and authenticity in the sexual life and relationships you want to create.
